The toothbrush holder we have replaced is cup like with holes on top. We’ve had to regularly cleam mold from the bottom of it. This toothbrush holder is open, attractive and sturdy.

Easy for toothpaste stains to show up
I got this to replace a shiny old toothbrush holder that had seen better days. I liked this one in black because it would be less likely to show water spots. What I hadn’t anticipated was how easy it was for for toothpaste residue to show up in the black base.

Looks better than it performs
It’s ok, holes are almost sharp edged if that makes sense, also a little big in diameter so normal toothbrush size has a lot of tilt. My unit did not allow for the screw to tighten completely leaving a minor wobble.
