Pleasantly surprised
Took a chance with this lantern holder, wasn’t sure what to expect. Works great. Highly portable but could be used permanently in a backyard. Very inexpensive so it’s not the most sturdy, but I wouldn’t call it flimsy either. Does the job.

Well made but would not purchase for car camping bc it’s difficult to secure.I have a typical aluminum slat folding camp tabletop where the underside of the slats are not flat. This lantern hanger is secure only when both the top and bottom of the surface is flat. So it does not work on an aluminum slat camp table.This lantern hanger also does not work well in Florida’s sandy soils. It fell over every time I used it in the ground after it fell off the aluminum slat camp table.If you have the perfect table or have perfect soil, this may work perfectly fine. But if you’re expecting a secure lantern in diverse scenarios, I’d suggest tent magnets, magnetic car hooks, etc.

Super cheap Won’t hold a lantern
This is not a high end product and it isn’t a high end price so your expectations should take that into consideration. I needed something that would attach to my camping table to hold a lantern and this is perfect. It is light and breaks down small and light which for my application is good since size and weight of everything matters when you are van camping, tent camping small rig etc.It breaks down small enough in it’s bag that I keep it inside the bag with the table itself.UPDATESo now that I’ve actually used this I’m embarrassed by my initial review. This will not hold a lantern. It is junk I tossed it

A great hanger for hanging!
This space saving hanger is great for camping. We hang our lamp on it. The vise wasn’t wide enough for our picnic table, but a side table would work and the spike attachment works great in the ground.

I think there is a missing piece, the gold piece supposed to be inside the tube, so I couldn’t screw it together to make a post. Past return period, so couldn’t return it.
