Cute, Shallow Planters
I’ve had this hanging planter for about a month now and used it to pot a petunia. The shallow depth is noticeable—it’s about 5 inches deep—so it works best for shallow-rooted plants like petunias or herbs. My petunia fits neatly but the root system feels a bit tight, so I wouldn’t recommend larger blooms that need deeper soil.The plastic feels sturdy, and the drainage holes seem to be well-placed, though I added extra holes just in case. The included hanging chain is solid and easy to secure. After watering the plant, excess moisture drains cleanly, and the pot retains a teardrop shape without warping.It looks great hanging on our porch, holding just the right amount of soil for lightweight annuals. Just keep in mind it’s best suited to smaller plants with shallow roots—it’s not ideal for aggressive growers.
