More substantial than some cheaper brands
Small disposable bowls like these are good for microwaving water and oatmeal from the boxed packets. These Dixie bowls seem stiffer, more well-made, higher quality, and better at holding up with use than the Great Value ones I’ve usually used. The fact that they’re thicker causes them to hold their round shape better and be less susceptible to collapsing, all of which contributes to their being easy to use with fewer spills. Color is as acceptable as any disposable paper bowls – are any of them truly attractive?

Great quality bowls
I absolutely love these bowls, they are durable and beautiful, and they are great for every day use. They are very reasonably priced and the quality of the bowls prevent them from leaking because of the thickness of the bowls. I would recommend the bowls to anyone who wants quality bowls. They are microwave as well.

Good Plate but Smaller than Expected
These are much smaller than I thought – ideally great for super small sides, I’m talking small. If you take a normal paper bowl and basically half it.

Fairly sturdy, colorful, don’t leak. 4 stars
I ordered these because my dish washer broke down, so they’re for short term. They look nice, are fairly sturdy, and if you get them on sale (I did) they’re worth the price. Just ordered another set as dishwashers are not cheap and I’m saving for one. They’re stronger than some of the other brands, which is a plus.

Small but mighty.
When my dishwasher broke over the summer I could not keep up with hand washing all the pet food bowls. Dixie to the rescue! These are sturdy enough to be used several times. Then straight to recycling. During cold weather I can warm food for my senior cat without worrying about leaks in the microwave or microplastics in the food.I’ve ended up using them as catch-alls for my manicure tools, tiny medication/makeup items like eye drops and lip gloss, and office things like clips, erasers, tacks and so on. They’re nice for small cleanup tasks when you need just a little paint or solvent and not a bucket full.And so helpful during wound care. Drop used wipes, bandages, swabs, empty packets, etc. into a bowl and, when you’re done, pop into a trash bag and tie shut.

I actually use these for painting. These are excellent disposable paint cups. Paint doesn’t soak in, nor does the “wax” coating (or whatever it is) flake off – at least for the paints I use.I can only assume they do the same thing with cereal or soup.
