Yes! These one’s ARE waterproof!
I board dogs and have a potty training child. These are the first covers I’ve bought that actually have the protective backing to be waterproof and still reasonably priced. No dog smell or kid pee has gotten through! They’ve also held up so much better than the other ones that had a hole the same day. These ones have made it through a week and a wash so far and are still intact.The color is a bit more copper than chocolate/brown, but they stretch and cover great even with the protective backing. So, it doesn’t bother me since it actually protects and I just the covers off for company since they are so easybto put on and remove. They’ve been saved to my rebuy and recommend list!

Sizing may be interesting
I got these as a way to help protect my couch from the incidents of having an elderly pet struggling with incontinence. I’ll update later on their waterproof ability once the doggo has given it a test run.Straight out of the bag I can say that the perks are that the color is close enough a match to make me happy and the fabric is buttery soft with a stretchy rubbery backing.What I can tell at this moment are the negatives is that the fabric is almost velvet like and is already collecting the dog hair like the sherif of Nottingham collects taxes. The regular seat cushion covers fit **Perfectly** with just enough stretch to fit snuggly around each corner. The chaise cover, however, is a different story. It is so oversized that I could almost fit two cushions in it. Even trying to pull as much to the center of the underside, it still looks like I’m trying to put a king sized fitted sheet on a full sized bed.As long as the waterproofing does its job, I will be satisfied with the product. I just want to be able to accommodate my aging boy for as long as he has left and still be able to save my couch for the future.**UPDATE**These are quite waterproof…so waterproof that liquids would run off and between the cushions. I put a doggie pee pad underneath the cushion gap and that fixed the problem. When washed, these covers hold on to the water. I was afraid to dry them with any heat so I did hang dry and the water would pool in the elastic bunched pocket because of the waterproof backing on the fabric.

I love these.
I’m using these couch covers indoors on my living room sofa. I cannot say whether or not they are waterproof as I wasn’t looking for them to be waterproof. However, I find them to be very good quality in comparison to the others I’ve bought. they go on the cushions very well and look very nice. I don’t find them wrinkling or anything. I was really happy with this purchase. I actually even bought another set for when these are in the wash. They suit me just fine for keeping my couch clean from my dogs paws.

Waterproof as far as I can tell
Had been using twin sheets to protect the couch because it’s just easier than cleaning the couch with dogs. It has been holding up really well to the dogs running and playing on it. Hasn’t ripped, seems to be pretty strong. The puppy keeps biting at it as she’s playing and the little shark teeth haven’t ripped it. Super soft and comfy. Feels like a soft fleece blanket but doesn’t feel like it gets too hot. Have not had it leak anything through it- as long as you don’t let something sit on it a long time I think it would be waterproof. Has seemed to protect the couch cushions well with the dogs playing on it. Elastic has held up really well too, doesn’t slide off and stays put on the couch. Definitely worth the money and would get a backup set too if they came in more sizes and colors.

They’re not good if you have pets. When washed they come out full of hair. Pet hair sticks and not come off. But definitely water proof why I’m giving it 3 stars. I would not buy again.

WARNING: STAINS YOUR CUSHIONS
Bought this to protect a brand new custom sofa. Took off the slipcovers to clean today, and the dye from the velvet fabric has stained the sofa cushions. We have performance fabric for the sofa, just wanted to protect it for a few years from our young children. Well, now it looks like the slipcovers themselves have stained the sofa, and we may need to get it re-upholstered if we can’t get the dye out! Also, not waterproof. As you can see, the waterproof areas also had something leak through, and not only is there a stain ring, the stain ring is also stained blue from the navy dye.

2 humans. 2 dogs. 3 cats. These covers stand the test.I have bought several different covers to protect my couch the best I can, yet still keep it clean and in tact. I love these covers; their color stands up to weekly/bi-weekly washes. They do not slip around or off the cushions. Super easy to put on and take off.My dogs aren’t destructive like some, so just be aware of that. Mine prefer to lounge.

I ordered these sofa slip covers for my sectional couch with high hopes. I was excited when I opened them as they felt and looked great. Unfortunately, they would only fit the standard cushions (nicely and snuggly) but would not work for the end (“T”) cushions, so I returned them.
