Fantastic lights at a bargain price; I love them
I bought a four-pack of these Etekcity lanterns years ago and I love them. In fact I returned here today to purchase some more of them for a couple of my relatives. I have used mine for power outages due to severe winter weather and thunderstorms and these lights performed beautifully and illuminated the entire downstairs. One of my neighbors actually came over and asked if my electricity had somehow been restored and of course I said no, and that I have these awesome lanterns that throw a surprisingly amount of nice white light. He thought I had somehow had my power restored or that maybe I had a generator running because my downstairs looked so bright. He was so impressed that he ordered a four-pack of them too. I particularly like that the hue of these lanterns is a “cool white” which is a very white light; not that awful yellowish tint which I cannot stand. These are a nice white light similar to a fluorescent light. I’m pleased that these little lanterns throw a lot of white light. And the batteries will last quite a while too. I ran one of mine as a test for close to 50 hours non stop to see how long the batteries would last. I have Eneloop high capacity rechargeable batteries installed in mine and it works out very well as those are a very low self discharge type of battery and they hold their charge extremely well. LED’s don’t use a lot of “juice” so you’ll get a lot of bang for your buck with these lanterns. You certainly cannot beat the price of them. I hope this might be of help to someone considering purchasing them. You’ll be as pleased as I am, I’m sure. Happy lighting!

Perfect pick for great lighting

Buy these! We bought a second order because they are so handy and everyone in my family uses them loads. They have magnets on them to easily position them under cabinets when doing auto work, they light up under cabinets for plumbing work. The kids use them a bunch to carry around when playing at night. Often we hang them from trees to light up an area when entertaining. Of course they’re super handy during storms when the electricity is out. They are SO bright and light up large areas. The kids even hook them to their Halloween bags for trick or treating so they’re used as an easy flashlight and can be seen by cars. They’re small but light and lightweight.

Bright, Reliable, and Affordable – A Must-Have!
I bought a four-pack of Etekcity lanterns 1 year ago and they’ve been amazing. They lit up my entire downstairs during power outages so well that a neighbor thought I had a generator! The cool white light is bright and clean—much better than the yellowish tint of other lanterns. I use Eneloop rechargeable batteries and got nearly 50 hours of continuous use from one lantern. Great light, long battery life, and unbeatable value. Highly recommended!

Good product
Handy little lanterns. We like to keep them on hand for hurricane season, and these are perfect for what we need. Very small, and light weight for easy travel. Strong plastic, does not break easily.

These things are so convenient for home and camping.
These things are so convenient for home and camping. One sits in my night stand drawer and is my first line back up light source. For camping, these things are great for hanging in the middle of your tent and then just pulling down on them when you need light. Plenty bright and takes AA batteries. Easier than fumbling around in the dark for your flashlight or headlamp (which I also use, I just think this thing wins on convenience).

I bought these for my elderly parents in law during a power cut when they lost light, heating and cooking. Candles were too much of a fire hazard. Hopefully when they have another power cut these will help light each room. They have a compartment in the top to store the batteries when not needed which is very helpful and they close down to a very manageable size to store. They are metal and not plastic and so feel sturdy when unscrewing the battery compartment etc. I liked them so much I have ordered some for myself and now my mother wants some too.

I can’t comment on durability as I bought these for a Storm Emergency Kit to sit in a cupboard until needed. I was very happy with the price & wouldn’t have been surprised if they were priced the same for individual lanterns. I was also pleasantly surprised to see they came with batteries included. There are little plastic strips pushed between battery & contact to ensure they don’t corrode during storage. After testing the first lantern, I re-inserted the plastic strips to ensure they could always store their own battery in the emergency kit.For price, quality of construction, size & included batteries, I am happy to recommend this product.
