Hours of fun that may need a slight fix
Hours of fun. On a side note if it stops working and just flashes when pushing the on button like one of ours did. There’s a small plastic door on the bottom that takes a special screwdriver to open with a micro SD card inside that came loose in it’s holder just bend it’s tab’s a little and it will turn on perfectly.

Disappointed
This product has been very disappointing. When it works, it’s been great, but the times it does not work is far more often than when it works. The key does not always function properly, it turns off randomly, and the amount of batteries we have used is astronomical. It is not worth the money. It will cause more frustration and disappointment in your kid than its worth.

Really cool – wasn’t expecting the doll to pop up!
I bought this for my friend’s daughter who is 8. She thought the lantern was really pretty and was very engaged when the pixie showed up on screen. She was really surprised when the doll popped out of the top of the lantern. She could figure it all out herself so it was easy to use. She spent a good deal of time exploring the different games and activities in the lantern, but what her mom and I really loved is that it came with a pretty doll with a backstory and we saw her using her imagination to create more story and to bring her into her world. When she put the doll back in the lantern, she was really excited by the “pixie points” and to use them to play more games. We were very impressed overall with how much play was in the toy.

Do not waste your money
This is an expensive piece of trash. The first one broke and said to return the pixie to the lantern, she hadn’t even had the zip ties removed from her, so we sent that one back. We got the replacement and my daughter finally got to use it. She ran those 4 initial AA batteries in an hour or 2 (this thing will cost you a TON in batteries if you can manage to get one that works) so I grabbed 4 brand new batteries and loaded it back up, and…….nothing, no power. Ok, so maybe there was a dead battery in that bunch. So I opened a brand new pack of batteries and replaced the already new berries in the lantern and….. Again, nothing. At this point, my daughter is completely distraught, she saw this thing in an Amazon Christmas catalog that they sent me. Never again will I allow them to see this catalog. So now I get to see if they will take another return because she wants to pay with this thing so badly. Save your money and sanity, avoid the headache and just DO NOT hit that Add to cart or Buy Now button, get a dog instead, that will lead you to less frustration then this lantern will.

Daughter loved it
Daughter saw this in the Amazon magazine and could not stop begging for it. I made it about a week before buying an $80 toy. To this day, I can’t believe I did that. She was persistent! I could have gotten a nice serum at Sephora lol. Anyway, my daughter was obsessed with this for about 2 days after opening it. Frankly longer than I expected. No playing with it since. And let me tell you, it was quite a process to get that fairy to initially pop out. I had to take a break and go outside to escape the noise and games.Overall, the joy we both felt was lovely upon opening the gift. Priceless almost. To give someone exactly what they wanted so badly.Parents, be warned, it is very loud and annoying. Prepare yourself. That said, a great gift for grandparents to gift their grandchildren when they don’t live with them, ha. Would I buy it again if I had a do over? No. Good luck!

It doesn’t work!
I was very disappointed it did not work. My first purchase from this toy brand & it didn’t work! I changed the batteries 3 times and did not come on. I decided to just return it after I saw some reviews. A lot of people’s products did not work or if they did get a replacement, it stopped working after awhile it does not sound like it’s for longevity also, I heard the battery drains a lot.

Great toy! We got this for our 6 year old for Christmas and it was even better than we expected. She’s had hours of fun so far, and likes that she can take the fairy out of the lantern to play with as well. Not just a toy that gets opened and forgotten about after the initial fun. 10/10
