Rich deep color in velvety texture; classy not gaudy
My daughter and son-in-law will be staying with us for a few months. I know that they like room darkening curtains. I know it can be difficult to stay with your parents (and in-laws) sometime so I wanted to do something special to make them feel welcome. Since the room they will be staying in has deep burgundy accents, I ordered these and it came out even better that I thought. I took the picture with one open and one partially closed blind behind the curtains so you can see how they look in different conditions. They are velvety but not the thick velvet as you normally might think of velvet. Therefore, they look much classier looking, not a gaudy looking. They do give a pop of color which helps this room especially when they are room darkening. So success – my daughter and son-in-law saw them today and loved them (and were surprised and touched to have this change in the room just for them). I am happy to have a totally “new” looking room even after they leave.

Single panel white velvet “burnout” curtain
I recently received this “HPD Half Price Drapes Ravello Burnout Velvet Curtains 84 Inches Long (1 Panel), Room Darkening Curtains for Bedroom & Living Room, Rod Pocket Window Curtains for Home Decor 50X84, White” and I generally make it a hard rule to NOT order INDIVIDUAL curtains, but I messed up, so this review is for half of a pair of curtains.I’ve been working on replacing curtains in several rooms recently, and “white velvet curtains” became a frequently-repeated search term for me in the process. When I came across this set, I was very pleased to have found some curtains that would DARKEN the room and, being velvet, should hang well and drape the way I am wanting for that particular window. Sadly, in my excitement over finding curtains in the right size and in a texture I liked, I failed to notice that this is a SINGLE curtain panel./rant_on: I could go complain for hours about how ridiculous I think it is that curtains are EVER sold as single panels. Sure, I get that there are situations where a person needs an ODD number of panels to complete a full window treatment, but come on, that HAS to be the exception, doesn’t it? Grr. /rant_offThis curtain panel is really beautiful, with an interesting texture in the fabric that looks almost to be embossed, but I’m guessing is “burnout” texture. Also, the interwebz tells me that on velvet, “burnout” texture is often referred to as dévoré, but I’ve never heard of it, personally. If you zoom in on the close-up photos in the product listing, you can just barely make out the texture there. I couldn’t get any photos to really show it any better, so you’ll have to take my word on it that there’s a subtle pattern throughout the fabric. The curtain itself is really pretty. The color is bright white, clean white, pure white. It’s exactly the shade/tone of white I was looking for. Had I only realized I was ordering HALF of what I needed… grrr…This curtain panel is priced at $40.49 as I type this review, and while I appreciate “HALF PRICE DRAPES” being a company that seemingly focuses on selling drapes at half the expected retail price, in this particular situation, it really means that I got drapes at half price because I ordered only half the drapes I needed. D’oh! Personally, $80 for a single window treatment that isn’t especially large or in some other way “custom,” seems like a lot to pay. I’d happily recommend these if what I ordered and received was a PAIR of drapes at that price – at $40.49 they would be a very nice value in my opinion. At twice that, however, I find it much more difficult to recommend, and I would probably return the single panel if that were an option. In all, while I quite LIKE these “HPD Half Price Drapes Ravello Burnout Velvet Curtains 84 Inches Long (1 Panel), Room Darkening Curtains for Bedroom & Living Room, Rod Pocket Window Curtains for Home Decor 50X84, White,” I feel the price is too high for me to wholeheartedly recommend this single panel curtain to others.

Beautiful curtains! Thick material and heavy doesn’t feel cheap at all! I love the beautiful wine red color! I can’t wait to hang these in my bedroom!UPDATE: I absolutely love these curtains! I should’ve got them a little bit longer to hang from ceiling to floor but they are so beautiful!

Cozy Vibe
I’ve had these hung up for a few months and I adore them. They function as blackout curtains. The material is high-quality and looks like something that belongs on a blanket.

Elegant Velvet Curtains for a Cozy Room
Vine Customer Review of Free ProductThese Warm Taupe Ravello Burnout Velvet Curtains look elegant with their soft polyester fabric. The texture and color add a cozy vibe to my bedroom. They block most sunlight (80-85%), though some light seeps through. Installation was easy with the pole pocket. They do attract dust, so I’ll need to clean them often. Good for style and light control.
