This was the perfect addition to our new powder room, as we forgot to get wiring done for a light above the vanity. This solves the issue of lighting at the mirror by having the lighting IN the mirror!I wasn’t that confident in the strength of the included drywall plugs, especially because mirrors are heavy and subject to regular cleaning that puts added pressure on the mounts. With heavier drywall bolts in place, it was relatively easy to install vertically. I will note that it did not come with any installation instructions at all, so if you are a novice then you would be left just guessing how big of a pilot hole to drill, for example.It also comes with a separate backing if you want to hang it horizontally. This would require removing a number of screws that hold the back panel in place, swapping out the backing, and reinstalling all the screws. I’m not sure why they couldn’t put both sets of hanging holes on the same backing.Once in place, it works as described. The cord is quite short, which is fine for our purposes, but you may need an extension cord if used on a dressing table or other context. Overall, I went back and forth between 4 and 5 stars, but settled on 4 due to the challenges with installation you might encounter.

Honestly, the concept here is just genius – yet somehow so painfully obvious. Particularly as someone who is both nearsighted and terribly prone to ingrown facial hairs, this has been a lifesaver.The normal washroom window has lights set above it, which I mean, think about that – you’re actively casting a shadow on a large portion of your face. It makes it extremely hard for me, at least, to hunt those hairs out with a set of tweezers.Why not put the light facing your, I dunno… face? Lo and behold! Madness reigns no more!This mirror’s great, does an excellent job of lighting the area without burning your retinas, giving detail when you’re working on looking your best. On the subject, it looks great too.Anyway, it’s a decently sized mirror with active lighting that’s actually aimed properly for the sort of things a person’s doing in a mirror. It’s helped me greatly with my ingrowns, which I largely used to just have to either pluck whole patches in my beard or simply let them resolve on their own – painful bumps in the way. I would not be surprised if I have scarring because of that.At least now there’s some hope 😀 I can see what the hell I’m working with, and that alone is a huge perk.========================== Overall View: [😀] ==== – 😦🙁😐😊😀 + ==========================

I have a round mirror over the powder room vanity sink, and I prefer a rectangular one because it gives a bit more mirror space and shows more of the body.This mirror fit the bill at only 18″ wide. The additional light surround is a bonus: That’s what I had with the round one, and now I could just plug it in the same spot. Note that it does stick out about 1″ from the wall because it had a solid aluminum frame all the way around.The quality of the mirror is great. As expected. No distortion. This mirror supposedly is made of tempered glass so it won’t break into sharp shards, but instead will break into small pieces. It also claims to be corrosion resistant. I think this claim is for the frame only. I suppose this could mean the actual reflective part is also made of aluminum then, instead of silver, like older mirrors are. The point, is that it’s supposed to not corrode after a period of time, especially if you get water sitting at the bottom between the mirror and frame, like some other mirrors do after a long time.Overall this is a great little mirror with built-in lighting for a smaller washroom.
