No more wet paw marks on the floors!
This water fountain is a great alternative to our cats drinking out of the faucets, playing in their water bowel and leaving wet foot prints on the floor (sigh!). One of my daughters recommended getting a cat water fountain and I was like “why do they need a water fountain?”. Well, the cats must have over heard our conversation, because they really stepped up their game on creating more of mess with their water bowl on the kitchen floor. Now the wife was strongly recommending I get a water fountain to see if this would resolve the issue.I settled with the PEKTACO since it had the large volume container, filtration system, and the attachment to mimic the kitchen and bathroom faucets. read through the reviews and decided to take the plunge. Still a little skeptical that this was going to work and they would actually drink from it. Overall the water fountain was easy to assemble and instructions are straight forward. After a couple of minutes, it was fully operational.At first the cats wanted nothing to do with it and just looked at it as they walked through the hallway in the kitchen. I removed their water bowel thinking that would help direct them towards the water fountain. Nope, that didn’t work. So, I removed the faucet piece and just let the water bubble up through. BINGO! That made it more interesting for the cats (really?). If that faucet piece wasn’t removable, I would have been out of luck (picky cats).The noise of the bubbling water is actually relaxing. Call me crazy, but even the wife noticed it and well the cats are happy now. The fountain has been operating normally for almost a month. No more wet paw marks on the floors. I placed a rubber mat under ours to help protect the floor. Just in case one of the cats get a crazy idea of splashing water out of it.I would recommend buying a set of rubber feet for the bottom of it if you’re going to place it on a hard surface. As well, order some replacement filters for the unit since it’s recommended changing the filters on a monthly basis. I would have like to see at least one spare filter set come with the unit.All-in-All the cats are happy (at least for now) : )

A+ Water for a Happy Cat
I am delighted with this water fountain.It is well made out of stainless components.The electric motor is driven by a standard USB-A wall wart.The pump is absolutely dead silent.I bought the combo with six filters which I will eventually need.My cat used to dig and paw in his water bowl.. now all he does is drink, and frequently.

Update: I purchased the second one and It has stopped working. Thankfully within the return time frame. I cleaned it like I’ve cleaned the other one and not had any problems but this one wouldn’t start working again after I cleaned it. It will be interesting to see how long the other one lasts. If I replace this when it’s likely to be another brand. 1 star. I’d give it a zero If I could.I got a rescue kitty a little over a month ago and I was told he likes a drinking fountain. This is the one I picked even though it was different than a picture that I saw what he was used to. Initially he drank from it thoroughly but I noticed over the following couple of weeks that he was less interested in using it. So I took that as a hint and cleaned out the bottom part with vinegar until I couldn’t feel any residual calcium deposits. However I didn’t wipe the top off where he licks the water and he stopped using it I think shortly thereafter. I knew I had rinsed out the bottom early so that wasn’t the problem. So I took it back into the bathroom and realized it was slimy on the top where he drinks. So I cleaned that up and put it back down for him He was going through some medical issues and between those and whatever else he seems to not be interested in using this machine. So today I really did a vinegar wash in both the top and the bottom, made sure everything was thoroughly rinsed, and took the spout off of it so it bubbles up rather than coming through the spout. He’s a happy camper now. All is well, he drank well tonight after all that could cleaning and he apparently prefers the bubbler as opposed to the spout. I’m going to probably need another one and I’m going to very likely buy a second one of these. I’m pretty happy with it so far and I’ve had it operating a little over a month straight. I changed the filters today which is the second time in doing so in a month so I think probably every two weeks is a good time frame in which to change the filters. I just ordered a whole bunch of them to have on hand. 5-Stars

I have 2 of these Pektaco Water Fountains, ordering replacement motors for each, which my cats enjoy to drink water in 2 separate rooms. A must have that filters the water…stops when needing more water. Must clean and add 2 new distinct filters, purchased separately for these water fountains from PEKTACO ! A MUST HAVE ! VERY PLEASED FOR MY CATS ! 10-13-2025. Mgb

Sono arrabbiatissima ,oggi ho cambiato l’acqua alla fontanella come faccio un GG si e uno no e ha smesso di funzionare e stasera devo partire ,nonostante le buone recensioni è la seconda con questo sistema di motorino che mi abbandona dopo meno di un mese .È probabile che non riuscirò neanche a fare il reso e ho buttato via dei soldi per niente

In generale è un oggetto semplice, quindi non difficoltoso da pulire o montare. Io personalmente non riempio la ciotola fino al limite massimo in quanto ogni tanto l’acqua va comunque cambiata, e preferisco non buttarne via troppa.L’unico difetto che poso trovargli è che non è proprio silenziosissima, diciamo che la pompa lo è ma comunque lo scorrere dell’acqua si sente.Aggiornamento al 23/04:Ho avuto qualche problema con la pompa, ma effettivamente per causa mia. Non avevo letto che è necessario pulire periodicamente la pompa internamente, e che è possibile aprirla per farlo. Quindi raccomando di pulirla regolarmente.La mia si era bloccata, ma pulendola bene è ripartita tranquillamente.
