Saved carpet!!
Love this stuff! Lots of pets in the house and someone always has an accident somewhere. Put in hallways and even on carpeted stairs. Slips around a bit but not terrible.

The only real “clear” carpet runner I could find on Amazon the size I needed.
I had ordered a different plastic carpet runner from Amazon and it said clear “Prism”, which means it is purple/grey and not clear. It is see through, but it has definite color. That item is much thicker and more expensive. I needed a clear carpet protector, so I ordered this one and it is definitely clear. It is also much thinner than the previous one, but the nubs on the back keep it in place nicely on my low to medium pile carpet. It looks just like the photo seen on another review (pretty wavy/not flat after 5 days so far with weights on it) so it won’t be perfectly flat. I have not tried taking a hair dryer to it yet. Anyway, it’s nice and clear, so don’t fall for the “prism” clear one. Giving 3 stars because it’s not laying flat and a tiny bit too thin. I think it’s going to lay nicely on the landings of my 2 flights of steps and not move around or get tripped over. It also has a bit of a plastic smell at first, but not horrible and goes away in a week.

First negative review I’ve ever written. An absolute piece of junk. Tripping over it again tonight prompted this review. Lightweight and flimsy. Will not stay in place. Dangerous for older people, a category which I am in. I should have returned it before my window for returns closed

Works well on my carpet runner in my hallway. Easy to cut with scissors. It’s very clear so I can see my rug easily through it. I needed 8 feet so used the left over for my area rug between the couch and coffee table. It fits nicely. It shifts a little bit but I expect that.
