great starter lights with a decent # of built-in patterns
I’ve been playing around w these lights for a few weeks & really love them! A pair of these strings were a hit at a recent outdoor dance party we threw – we were on a cliff overlooking the beach & the lights did a great job outlining the edges of the dance floor which kept ppl out of the bushes & uneven terrain. the lights themselves got dusty being on the ground & they both worked like a champ! The lights come rolled up on film-like reels which made it very convenient to pack back up.The lights have a sound-sensitive pattern you can see in the attached video (indoor test) – other reviews are correct- you need to put the mic in the USB end right up against the speaker for it to be effective. in app, you can adjust the gain but not enough for softer music (which is #1 on my wishlist!) Overall, I’m happy not having to use additional wires for AUX input – what comes out of the box is perfect for what I need right now.I have a really old low quality 10000 mAh power bank I discovered would keep these lights on for over 32 hrs non-stop. I wouldn’t doubt a high quality 10k power bank might keep them on for 48 hrs straight. I bought these primarily to travel with & decorate camp and/or my tent so this fits the bill. at home, you can easily just plug them into a USB brick. I used the app to program exactly what time to turn on and off every day. In the future, I want to play w a 3 or 4 AA USB battery pack & see how long it lasts.Now the app is something to play with at best – I really don’t use it. The UI is super clunky & what broke it for me is there is a built-in blue/white “breathing” pattern and the app has a limitation on when it switches colors (ie. it doesnt wait for a color to fade completely) that doesn’t let it program the same exact pattern in a different color. since this is a software issue, I hope they get it to work soon! (props up to Billy in customer support – he really went the extra distance to be in touch daily & send videos to help you get your lights to do what you want!You can cycle through built-in patterns using the button on the USB controller, the remote or through the app – whichever is most convenient. Something else on my wishlist is for the cycle button on the remote to be programmable and to assign new patterns to the “MODE1” and “MODE2” buttons.BTF makes some super sophisticated products – I got these because BTF has a good reputation & wanted to just get my feet wet & feel out what features I really want in fairy lights. I figure I can give these lights away when I decide to upgrade to lights that are more easily cut to length & allow me to use my own controller w WLED installed.

Most impressive “Fairy lights” I have ever seen!!!
They don’t tangle like other fairy lights. This is a big, big, plus!!!! The wire is completely covered (no shorting out). The pixels are bright for fairy lights and I can’t believe the programing features. About the programing, you can program EACH of the pixels individually. Not sections of 3 or 5 but, each pixel. You can add strings, make curtains and draw on them. I have yet to see any other Fairy lights quite like these. These are good for both large and small projects because of the different size strings available. 5 thumbs up!!! BTF really has something here I hope they expand on this. Project lighting has come a long way in the past few years.

IP65 light string (5*) with indoor-only USB controller and remote (3*)
IP65 light string with a permanently-attached USB-plug controller–hence, indoor-only. (Same IP65 LED string as https://www.amazon.com/BTF-LIGHTING-Decorative-Addressable-Christmas-controller/dp/B08HK67784, but controller is not waterproof.) The wire almost disappears, but by the same token is very fine, so the string is probably best used in a permanent installation. Handle carefully, to avoid kinking.Controller provides an insane number of modes, and remote only allows single-stepping through modes. Most modes consist of an animation pattern repeated for about 8 colors. “Auto” runs all modes sequentially. Remote range is very short; I had to remain within about 10′ for reliable operation.I used the light string to make a star decoration (about 39″ across) for holidays (Christmas, 4th of July, just because). I created a star armature from 14 gauge solid aluminum “closeline” wire and hot-glued the light string to the armature. For outside use, I sealed up the USB controller/mains cord with a plastic bag. I plan to replace the controller with an Arduino Nano to allow custom patterns that take advantage of the shape. (I would have purchased the string without controller, as referenced above, but it was Temporarily Unavailable.)

Small, but Mighty!
We needed some lights that would be useable indoors and outdoors and got recommended this brand and these kinds of lights. I was skeptical because of their small USB sized controller but it would be ideal for our purposes (music festival totem lights!). They worked great and even survived a thunderstorm! We lost our remote but were able to reach out to the manufacturer who was easy to work with and very understanding! Their rainbow wave affect is my go to style but there are dozens of options, speeds, and more to choose from!

Unhappy with quality and seller
If your try to use these as Christmas tree lights don’t. I have purchased lights over years many times and never had any issues linking strands together. These yes there is an app but it’s not perfect match or synced as you normally get with stuff like this hard to explain. I spent hours trying everything from deleting app reloading trying get them to go right but after many hours frustration I messaged seller and there response to me was …read manual! First off there really isn’t much of a manual zero instructions ect. Just rude instead trying to resolve the issue if that is problem they blow me off and low key insult me. If you want basic lights maybe to go in kids room ect would probably work but again the lights won’t completely be in sync

The light patters work well, and the phone app is great fun for changing patters.I thought there was a problem with the unit, but it was actually the USB power supply I was using.So it is still going strong! Love the fact I don’t need to replace batteries, as it is USB powered. It is still possible to make it a portable unit by using a USB battery pack for the power source.

Ce n’est pas tout à fait ce que je pensais avoir acheté. Assez compliqué a opérer, l’application est inutile et compliquée, que dire de la télécommande 😂 sinon les couleurs sont belles et c’est de la bonne qualité, seulement beaucoup trop complexe pour mes besoins.
