product absolutely stank when opened – like it had been cleaning a sewerthe pillow case does NOT have an envelope – which is astonishingboth sides of the pillow case have heavy stitching on the face of the pillow (about a quarter of the way in!!!) – due to the stitching going all the way around the pillow case – utterly unheard of and terrible design – the stitching itself serves ZERO purpose other than to make the pillow case completely unusable (if you can actually get rid of the toxic smell)frankly a disgrace of a product and it is unusable – except as an oil rag…- I should have got a refund – but returning it is just too much of a hassle…I am still fuming about being ripped off

I purchased these because I thought they would be comparable quality to some pillowcases in a sheet set that I had to replace. The feel, opacity and weight was not consistent with cotton having a 1000 thread count, now was there any mention of same on the pillowcases commercial packaging. This is a very strong selling point and I cannot conceive any manufacturer not mentioning it this way. In addition the pillowcases absolutely stank.
