Freya is the goddess of love, magic, fertility, and material possessions in Norse mythology. She rules over the heavenly field of Folkvangr where she receives half of those who die in battle while the other half goes to Odin’s hall, Valhalla. Freya is the wife of Odr, the couple shares many similarities with another pair of famous Norse gods, Odin and Frigg. Due to the shared characteristic of Freya and Frigg, many believe that they are practically the same persona derived from an earlier, proto-germanic goddess, Frija. The word for “Friday” is named after Frija, just as the word “Wednesday” is named after Woden, the old name for Odin.

Absolutely gorgeous!! Worth buying!!
First of all, let me just say this was worth every single dollar! The statue is absolutely gorgeous, and the quality is superb. The shield has scuffs and scrapes on it, making it look well-used. Freyja herself is SO beautiful. Even the areas that are slightly hidden were made with such care and attention to detail. The two cats by Freyja’s feet are the perfect addition, and this is what really put this particular statue above others I was considering. The size is, in my opinion, perfect to display on an altar. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing this!! You won’t regret it at all!

Arrived early and in one piece! Love!
My well crafted and beautiful Freya statue arrived about a week earlier than anticipated which is awesome. It came in one piece and not broken, which seems to be an issue for some of the other similar statues of this kind. The only negative thing is there’s a giant scratch like impression on her shield but that’s not a big issue to me personally, it may actually be part of the statue when looking closer at the product images. The price was competitive to other places selling the same item which was nice as I prefer to purchase through Amazon if possible. Overall I recommend this seller and product, looks great next to my Odin and Frigga.

The quality of this piece is hands down top notch. The weight alone was surprising. The detail is FANTASTIC! for the price, this was a great find! This is an amazingly well done casting
There are absolutely no casting marks, no voids or bubbles, incredibly detailed and no blotches in the tone. The coloring in lustrous and elegant with no smears or blotches. I could not be happier with this figure.

Very nice, it’s what I wanted
Very nice statue, I use this for an altarpiece. Clean and a bit bigger than I expected but I love it just the same. Careful with it though, the sword is a bit on the flimsy side.
